I have no idea what one might call this little book so I just went with the obvious! My mom (and my upline, thanks mom!) made this sample with the "At Home" Simply Scrappin' Kit. This is the cutest little album, and it is so easy to make! You could even do it without a scrapping kit if you had access to a variety of punches and assorted papers...I just like the idea of using the kit because most of the guess work is done for me and I don't have to think very hard to coordinate the colors!

Here's how:
- Simply Scrappin' Kit
- Sticky Strip
- Paper snips
- Grosgrain Ribbon
- Paper Cutter
- SNAIL Adhesive
- 6 medium envelopes
Select a 12 x 12 shade of single color cardstock from the Simply Scrappin' Kit and cut it exactly in half so that you have 2 pieces, each 12" x 6 "
Score each piece of cardstock 5 1/4 " and 5 3/4" from the left as shown.
Apply Sticky Strip to the cardstock on one of the scored pieces of cardstock as shown. You will be applying it to the larger side that is nearly square.
Stick the cardstock without adhesive down on top of the piece that has adhesive, making sure to line up the same sized scored portions. So in other words, the finished piece will have a 6" x 6 1/4 " square in the middle with a 5 1/4 " x 6 " rectangle on each side. Use a bone folder to fold and crease along each score line. Fold the book up and determine which will be your left cover and which will be the right cover.
Cut 2 pieces of grosgrain ribbon, each about 13 inches long. Stick one end of the ribbon along the edge of the score line on the left cover as shown. Then cut a piece of designer paper from the kit, 6 " x 5 1/4" and stick it over the the taped end of the ribbon thus completing your left cover.
Fold the right cover over top of the left cover and attach the ribbon and a second piece of coordinating designer paper (5 1/4" x 6") in the same manner as step 5. Set this aside for a moment and let's look at the envelopes....
On the back of one envelope, attach sticky strip to the side where you would write the address if you were mailing it, as shown. Then remove the backing from the sticky strip, fold the flap backwards towards the sticky strip, lick it (yuck!), flip it over and stick it to the center portion of the book.
Step 8: Stacking the Envelopes
Stick a small piece of sticky strip on the bottom edge of the envelope. Begin stacking each envelope by folding back the flap, licking it (yuck!) and sticking it down. Repeat this process until all of the envelopes have been stuck together. You do not need to add sticky strip to the front of the last envelope because you will be covering this with cardstock.
When all the envelopes have been stacked they should look like this:
Step 9: The Inserts
You will now cut 7 pieces of cardstock for the inserts...one will go inside each envelope and one will be attached to the front envelope. Cut each insert piece 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and use the stuff from the Simply Scrappin Kit to decorate them!
At the top of each insert for the envelopes you will need to add a tab so that they can be easily removed. Offset each tab slightly to the right of the one in front. You may also need to add paper to the back side of the tab that still has sticky exposed so that it doesn't stick to whatever is behind it!
Here are a couple of the inserts I did:
And here are the envelopes as they look finished!
Now you are ready to complete the album by decorating the left and right covers with whatever pieces from the kit that you have left!
Here is another envelope album I made using the Friends and Flowers Level 1 Hostess gift!

Thank you for such a well written tutorial. Oftentimes I read through directions and just "don't get it." You did a fabulous job and I can't wait to go home and make one of these. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together (with pictures even!) and sharing! Sincerely, deb

Terri, You Rock! I love this new tutorial on the envelope scrapbook. It's fabulous I can't wait to try it. I will have to as I am preparing for a Stamp class but This is a great Idea. I will be sure to try it and use it at my next class. That's saying something as I am rather intimidated by scrapbooking. Have a Super Stampin' Day!
